boredom: Pierre Berthet, Filter Queen in Torino
On the occasion of the opening of boredom (a project curated by Carlo Fossati for e/static, lasting from April 6th to July 2nd and featuring a series of miscellaneous events) the Belgian Pierre Berthet will present at blank, on Wednesday April 6th, at 9 pm, Filter Queen in Torino, a performance involving various objects, mostly twisting and resounding.
Pierre Berthet is active since the eighties, as a percussionist (notable his long collaboration with Arnold Dreyblatt's Orchestra of Excited Strings in the nineties) and starting since the nineties he's also renowned for having created many outdoor and indoor sound and visual installations.
In 2013, he started to collaborate with Rie Nakajima (JP), and by next April the two artists/performers will tour Europe with their project “Dead Plants and Living Objects”. They also will perform another date in Torino, on Thursday April 7th, in the context of NOISE Delivery Festival.
